
Mesha Amoshaogeh
Dr. Meshal Almoshaogeh is the former Dean of the College of Engineering at Qassim University and a distinguished leader in higher education and transportation engineering. He holds both M.Sc. (2014) and Ph.D. (2017) degrees in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Transportation Engineering, from the University of Central Florida, USA.With a strong background in academic leadership, strategic planning, and quality assurance, Dr. Almoshaogeh has led transformative initiatives at Qassim University. Under his leadership, all undergraduate engineering programs achieved full national and international accreditation—ABET (2022) and NCAAA (2023). His leadership contributed to the college’s recognition as one of the top engineering institutions within Qassim University and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.During his tenure, the college experienced remarkable growth in research output, external funding, student engagement, graduate employment, and community service. Research productivity increased fivefold, and the college received four awards for excellence in community and non-academic activities.Driven by his passion for research and innovation, Dr. Almoshaogeh established the Smart and Sustainable Transportation Research Group, aimed at building a foundation for a future center of excellence in intelligent and sustainable transportation systems. This initiative aligns with the goals of Qassim University and Saudi Vision 2030. Over the past years, the group has completed over 12 research and consultancy projects, published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, and graduated six master’s students.His research interests include intelligent transportation systems, traffic safety, autonomous mobility, electric vehicles, pavement design, urban planning, logistics, and mass transit.
