Daniel Bernstein joined LA Metro in early 2024 as a Principal Transportation Planner. Daniel supports preparation for the 2028 Games and strategic planning efforts as a member of Metro's Office of Strategic Innovation. Prior to LA Metro, Daniel was a Product Manager at GMV, a transit technology company. Daniel also worked as a consultant on transit data projects for agencies across North America at Arcadis IBI Group.

Daniel is a San Diego native and daily transit rider that has lived in Los Angeles since 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from UCLA and a Master of Planning degree from the University of Southern California.
