
David Grannis
David Grannis is the “strategist in chief” at Point C, L.L.C., a Pasadena, California consulting firm dedicated to implementing triple bottom-line mobility and land use strategies. A self-described “generalist,” David has holistically evaluated problems and developed the strategies, the partners, and the actions needed to effect change for 40 years.
His work has included:
+ Developed concept and serves as Executive Director of Zero Emissions Transit & Project Director for the Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit (LA ART) project, a high-capacity aerial gondola to connect Dodger Stadium to Los Angeles Union Station.
+ Developed and successfully executed the strategy of returning 50+ acres of Caltrans freeway (formerly State Route 710) back to the City of Pasadena and now serves as strategic advisor to the City.
+ Consultant team lead in developing and executing a funding and legislative strategy for the Alameda Corridor, leading to the first federal loan for infrastructure and the foundation of TIFIA.
+ Served as a strategic advisor/consultant to The Hearst Corporation in its successful conservation agreement to protect the 80,000-acre Heart Ranch in perpetuity.
+ Served as lead consultant to the City of Pasadena in the development of legislation to create the Pasadena Blue Line Construction Authority (Gold Line), which resulted in the design-build completion of the light rail project on time and under budget.
+ Served as a consultant to The Walt Disney Company in the development, funding, and implementation of transportation access and mobility improvements associated with Disney’s California Adventure theme park.
