David Stevens is the deputy head of production at Monocle Radio – the audio arm of the global affairs and lifestyle magazine Monocle. David also produces The Urbanist – Monocle Radio’s city-focused podcast which, for 15 years, has explored the topics of urban design, planning, mobility, sustainability and quality of life. David’s non-industry background helps The Urbanist communicate what makes a thriving, fun and functional city to everyone from practitioners to officials and residents. Originally from New Zealand, David has lived in London for the past nine years. His work producing Monocle events has taken him around the world, giving him a better understanding of what does and doesn’t make our urban environments better places to live.
