Dinero' Washington is a native of Shreveport and serves as the president/chief executive officer for Shreveport Transit Management (SporTran) and Metro Management Inc. He believes in the power of hard work, and under his leadership, SporTran has designed, built, and opened the doors to three new transit passenger terminal/hubs and currently has three major capital projects in the construction phase; SporTran Multimodal Resource Center, Alternative Fuels Maintenance Facility, and Shreveport Amtrak Station. In 2022, Washington introduced a Zero Fare program that has increased ridership by 353%.  He currently serves as chair for Louisiana Public Transportation Association and South West Transit Association, and is national board member for the Community Transit Association for America.
