Jewel is a Senior Manager with LA Metro where she leverages her private sector experience to help the agency evaluate, test, and implement new ideas. She currently helps manage the Unsolicited Proposals Policy, a medium through which staff can formally evaluate ideas, solutions, and technologies. Prior to joining LA Metro, Jewel was a Senior Associate at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates, where she supported the firm’s transportation equity practice while leading transit and active transportation planning projects across the nation. A proud southern California native, Jewel was born in L.A. and raised in the unincorporated community of Hacienda Heights. She has a BA in Urban Studies from UC Irvine and a MURP from UCLA.
