Since 1999, Marie-Cécile TARDIEU has driven the international growth of French businesses across France and major emerging markets. Her global career includes leadership roles in Brazil, where she managed multilateral initiatives, and in Hungary, Vietnam, and Morocco, where she led economic development teams to foster impactful investments.
Marie-Cécile notably served as Secretary General for the 3rd Choose France Summit, a high-profile event at the Palace of Versailles convening hundreds of top CEOs from around the world at the invitation of the French President. This summit helped solidify France's reputation as a premier investment destination, demonstrating its commitment to welcoming international enterprises.
Now as Deputy Director General of Invest at Business France, Marie-Cécile focuses on supporting and facilitating foreign investment into France. Business France, the national agency dedicated to France’s global economic development, provides end-to-end support to investors by identifying project opportunities, coordinating regulatory guidance, and connecting investors with key decision-makers on both national and regional levels. With a network spanning 56 countries, Business France has successfully helped realize over 7,000 foreign projects in France since 2017, playing an instrumental role in advancing France’s economic landscape.
Through initiatives like the "Welcome to France" program, Marie-Cécile and her team also ensure that international executives and their families experience a smooth transition, reinforcing France’s position as an attractive hub for global talent and innovation.
