Peter van Oorschot is VP North America at TNO Urban Strategy where the predictive, interactive, cross-domain digital twin platform Urban Strategy is applied to enable governments, academia and  business’ to make better and faster land use and transportation planning decisions. As a world-wide recognized applied science research organization, TNO has innovated on the way modeling is structured and the technical infrastructure of Urban Planning and transportation planning is supported. Urban Strategy shows impacts of scenarios of Land Use and transportation plans on transportation, air quality, noise, resilience and equity within minutes instead of weeks to increase the livability and resilience of cities, regions and countries.Prior to joining TNO, Peter spent many years in general management and business development positions leading mapping, GIS, software and business acceleration organizations. He has lived and worked in several countries and understands the dynamics of international business while translating it to local needs. Peter holds a master’s in Geodetic Engineering from the Technical University of Delft.
