Adam Giambrone is a senior transportation expert based in Riyadh, working with SYSTRA Arabia. He oversees major planning and engineering efforts, most notably with Qiddiya’s public transit projects, including metro development and aerial gondola systems. He also advises the Royal Commission for Makkah City on its transit expansion programme, supporting long-term mobility planning under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives. Also in his role, Adam applies extensive international transit-sector expertise to complex urban and national transport assignments across the Kingdom. His work covers technical planning, operational development, financial modelling and governance improvements aimed at delivering efficient, high-capacity and future-ready mobility systems.

Adam holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a second MBA from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, focusing on transportation management. He also holds an undergraduate degree from McGill University.

Adam’s past experience in the Kingdom includes serving as General Manager for Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO), where he led operational planning, network improvements and the development of modernised public transit services. His broader international work spans multimodal planning, rail projects, BRT design and transit governance reform.
