Alberto Meouchi is an architect, urbanist, and researcher. He currently leads the Mexico City chapter of the Center for the Future of Cities at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His work explores the intersection of migration, climate resilience, and urbanization, with an emphasis on land-tenure systems, ecological processes, and rurban transformations. He has advanced projects on water access and displacement in Colombia, as well as urban development strategies in Mexico City. Previously, he was a researcher at MIT’s Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism (LCAU), collaborating with international agencies and local governments. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, ETSAM in Madrid, and other institutions. He has received the Julian Beinart Research Award, the MITdesignX Grant, the Harold Horowitz Research Grant, and the Félix Candela Prize. Alberto holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master of Science in Urbanism from MIT.
