Andrés Colman serves as Chief Operations Officer for Utah Transit Authority (UTA), where he oversees multimodal transit operations including fixed route bus, paratransit, light rail, and commuter rail services across the Wasatch Front. With more than two decades of experience in public transportation, Andres began his career as a bus operator and advanced through leadership roles in operations, service delivery, and regional management before being appointed COO.Known for his frontline-focused leadership style, Andres is passionate about building operational cultures centered on safety, reliability, employee empowerment, and customer experience. He has led major organizational transformation efforts focused on aligning transit operations for scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability while preparing UTA for significant regional growth and future international events, including the 2034 Winter Olympics.Andrés is recognized for his collaborative leadership approach, operational expertise, and commitment to developing high-performing teams that deliver meaningful results for employees, riders, and the communities they serve.
