
Arnaud Ngatcha
Arnaud Ngatcha is a French audiovisual, media, and culture professional with a longstanding commitment to international affairs, diversity, integration, and the fight against discrimination.Born in 1971 in Tourcoing to a Cameroonian father and a French mother, he grew up with strong values of public service. He moved to Paris over 30 years ago to study law at Paris V before beginning a career in journalism. He worked for Canal+ (“La Grande Famille”), Le Figaro, and France 2, and directed several documentaries on political and social issues, including films on François Baroin and Jean-Marc Ayrault, as well as Noirs, l'identité au cœur de la question noire, exploring the history and contemporary place of Black identity in France.From 2007 to 2010, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Sports at Canal+. In 2010, he became Director of Cultural Magazines at France 2 and oversaw the documentary series Empreinte. Between 2007 and 2012, he was also a volunteer member of the High Council for Integration.In 2017, he joined the cabinet of Sports Minister Laura Flessel, where he helped design national initiatives such as “La Fête du Sport,” led an anti-discrimination campaign, and contributed to Paris’s bid for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.Since 2018, he has been leading special operations at France Télévisions.At the request of Mayor Anne Hidalgo, he entered politics in 2019. Elected Paris Councilor in 2020, he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of International Relations and La Francophonie, and additionally of Europe since 2022.
