Ben Pisch spent years inside city parking operations before moving to the technology side, running programs at the Calgary Parking Authority and UBC. He now leads curb strategy at SenSen Networks, working with cities and operators across North America to rethink how the curb is understood, measured, and managed. The curb is the most contested and least understood piece of infrastructure a city owns. Operators typically have to make do with minimal or incomplete data. Ben's direct and hands-on experience in the space provides critical insights into what data is required to properly understand curb dynamics, and how technology solutions can be shaped to collect the data and bring live awareness to these spaces.Ben supports cities in engineering solutions that blend sensors, data fusion, and vision AI to turn curb inventory into a living record that updates as conditions change, rather than a static map that is outdated the day it is finished. With that visibility, cities can design deliberately instead of reactively, managing for efficiency and equity as the street evolves. In short, he gives the people accountable for the curb the tools and evidence they need to deliver for their cities.
