Chris Margaronis
Chris' passion for transportation and transit stems from two decades of working in the transportation industry- Chris began his journey in transportation at the age of 14 working for 3 months on a Greek container ship traveling from South America to Europe. His formal career began on Capitol Hill, working on policy for a California congressman. After a few years, he left DC for grad school and then worked for Los Angeles' transit agency. There, he worked on public private partnerships and brought renewed interest to an old idea of having a gondola take fans from Union Station to Dodger Stadium, which is currently under environmental review. After LA Metro, Chris spent some time in the private sector, ultimately starting his own consulting business which worked with public agencies to build and finance large scale infrastructure projects. For the last 3 years, Chris has overseen the relationship of Uber Transit with transit agencies on the West Coast.
When Chris isn't working, he is golfing, skiing or traveling to new places with his wife or helping her with her zero waste refill business, and chasing his 2 year old son around their backyard.
