Christoph Gisel is a Design Director at Arup focused on how people experience cities, public spaces, and buildings. His work spans cultural facilities, transportation environment, civic spaces, parks, and mixed-use developments. Christoph works at the intersection of lighting, safety, comfort, accessibility, and belonging, helping clients create environments that people want to use, return to, and identify with over time. He leads multidisciplinary teams across the Americas and is particularly interested in how design influences human behavior, community participation, and the experience of cities after dark.
