Dr Nasiphi Moya is the Executive Mayor of Tshwane and a committed public servant with more than 15 years of experience in governance, public policy, and political administration. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of the Western Cape, as well as degrees from the University of Cape Town in Politics and Public Policy, and Public Affairs and Administration.

Her career spans academia, research, and local government, where she has held senior positions including Chief of Staff to the Executive Mayor and Chief Governance Director at ActionSA. Elected Executive Mayor in 2024, Dr Moya is focused on restoring good governance, driving service delivery, and building a city that works for all.
