Gene Oh is the founder and CEO of Tranzito, with over 20 years in new mobility. He leads the company's strategy to help cities actively manage the curb, the most contested space on the street, positioning Tranzito as the property manager of the public right-of-way. Gene's view is that as ride-hailing, shared micromobility, delivery, and autonomy drive up demand for curbspace, agencies need to manage private operators rather than compete with them, keeping public transit as the backbone of the system.Under his leadership, Tranzito grew from secure bike parking into citywide smart infrastructure, including the $500M+ LA STAP program (3,000+ smart bus shelters and 200 urban panels) and the 97-hub LADOT Integrated Mobility Hubs program, where he serves as Executive Director. Gene treats this infrastructure as a connected network of smart-city nodes, tied together by Tranzito's open CurbOS platform, and designed the public-private partnership models that let agencies partner with private operators at the LADOT and Caltrain SF mobility hubs. His next focus is smart loading zones and dynamic curb management, which combine sensing, digital signage, policy, enforcement, and field operations into a single managed program launching through the IMH network. Gene specializes in strategic design, stakeholder management, and business development, and keeps Tranzito self-funded to stay focused on public benefit.
