Dr. Henriette Cornet is a sustainable urban mobility expert. She is trained as an engineer in materials and environmental sciences and holds a PhD from the Technical University of Munich (2012) on sustainable evaluation of innovations for public transportation. In 2024, she founded pulsur, a startup utilizing advanced public sentiment analysis and AI to help public transit agencies understand community perceptions and address barriers to transit usage, aiming for more inclusive transportation systems.With five years in the automotive industry in Germany, she specialized in autonomous vehicles, focusing on their societal impacts. Dr. Cornet led a research team at TUMCREATE in Singapore for three years, designing autonomous vehicles, and later coordinated on behalf of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) a major Horizon 2020 project deploying 70 autonomous vehicles in 15 European cities.

Currently, she serves as a strategic advisor and consultant within her company, Urban Innovate LLC, and teaches at the University of San Francisco. Additionally, she is a member of TRB committees, and sits on the editorial board of Springer’s Lecture Notes in Mobility.Through her diverse experiences worldwide and ongoing multidisciplinary projects, Dr. Cornet is committed to driving innovation and sustainable solutions in urban transportation, leveraging technology for social good.
