Izebe Egwaikhide is an investment promotion and energy transition specialist with more than 30 years of international experience spanning energy, decarbonization, digital technologies, sustainability, and economic development. He currently serves as Senior Manager, Investment Promotion - Mobility at NRW.Global Business, the trade and investment agency of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.Prior to joining NRW.Global Business, Izebe served as Head of Hydrogen, CCUS & Industrial Decarbonization for the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in Germany, helping to advance cross-border collaboration and investment in clean energy and industrial transformation. He also held senior roles in the energy sector, including Vice President, LNG Business Development West Africa at E.ON.Earlier in his career, he worked with Cisco Systems in internetworking technologies and conducted power sector and artificial intelligence research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany.Izebe holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from TU Dresden, an MBA from the University of Leicester, and certification in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He is a member of both the IEEE and the VDE.
