
Jonathan Parfrey
Before founding Climate Resolve, Jonathan Parfrey served as a commissioner at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Jonathan is currently a member of the LA28 Olympics and Paralympic Games Sustainability Working Group. In 2010, he helped start CicLAvia, the popular street event, and remains on its board of directors. Since 2016, he's served as a gubernatorial appointee to the State of California Climate Adaptation Technical Advisory Council. Jonathan is an advisory board member at the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation as well as for the organization, Water Education for Latino Leaders. His past service includes serving as director of the GREEN LA Coalition, from 2007 to 2010 and as the Los Angeles director of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization Physicians for Social Responsibility, 1994 to 2007. In 2022, he helped establish Zero Emissions Transit, as a supporting organization under Climate Resolve.
