Karina Ricks is a nationally recognized leader in mobility innovation, urban strategy, and public-sector transformation. As a partner at Cityfi, she helps governments, companies, and communities design the systems, policies, and partnerships that move people safely, sustainably, and equitably.Karina’s career spans public service, global consulting, and civic entrepreneurship. She served as the inaugural Director of Mobility and Infrastructure for the City of Pittsburgh, where she established one of the first city departments in the country dedicated to people-focused mobility. She later advanced federal innovation as Associate Administrator for Research, Demonstration, and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration, overseeing the agency’s green technology, automation, and international portfolios.At Cityfi, Karina works on issues ranging from low-speed vehicle policy and digital curb management to advanced air mobility, AI-enabled infrastructure, and future-ready policy development - uniting diverse stakeholders around shared visions and actionable strategies.
