Laura Stuchinsky
Laura Stuchinsky is the Emerging Mobility Program Lead for the City of San José's Department of Transportation. Her team works on a wide variety of projects and programs to expand shared, electric, and emerging mobility-related services and to do so in a manner that promotes racial and social equity. Those initiatives include expanding charging for electric vehicles and bikes, initiating a mobility wallet pilot for low- and very-low income residents, and launching an all-electric microtransit service. She has led the City’s effort to develop administrative regulations for sidewalk- and roadway-based delivery devices that enable innovation while protecting cyclists and pedestrians, particularly those with disabilities. She is also working with others in the City to develop a regulatory framework to permit aerial drone deliveries in San José.
