Throughout his career, Majid has been deeply involved in large-scale, multibillion-dollar programs and national mega projects spanning energy, infrastructure, and technology. He is widely recognized for applying disciplines like supercomputing, quantum technologies, and AI-driven disruption to accelerate innovation across the Saudi Arabian energy sector and beyond.Under his leadership, Front End delivers integrated technical services and achieved a major national milestone by conducting the Kingdom’s first public autonomous flight demonstration during Hajj 2024.

Earlier in his career, Majid was a founding executive and the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) of King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST). There, he established the university’s high-performance computing center, naming its supercomputer Shaheen, and introduced the MIT Media Lab’s FabLab model to Saudi Arabia. Prior to KAUST, he began his professional journey in the energy sector, later serving as Vice President and Board Member of Aramco’s U.S. headquarters in Houston, Texas, overseeing critical maritime and technology initiatives.Majid holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and the University of the Pacific.
