Michelle Auriana Simmons is the President of MAS COMM Inc., a communications and community outreach firm specializing in transportation, infrastructure, and transit-oriented development projects. With over 20 years of experience, she has led public engagement efforts for major transportation agencies, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization.Her expertise spans public involvement, governmental affairs, and stakeholder engagement for high-profile projects such as the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Signature Bridge, Miami-Dade County’s SMART Plan, and multimodal mobility initiatives. Michelle has a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic communication plans, facilitating public meetings, and ensuring meaningful community participation in complex infrastructure projects.In addition to her leadership at MAS COMM, Michelle is a licensed realtor in Georgia and Florida, bringing valuable real estate insights to transit-oriented development and community engagement projects. She is an active member of professional organizations, including COMTO ( Conference of Minority Transportation Officials) WTS ( Women's Transportation Seminar) and APTA ( American Public Transportation Association) .Under her leadership, MAS COMM is becoming a recognized leader in inclusive and results-driven engagement, offering Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) consulting and innovative Train-the-Trainer programs for transit technology.She holds a B.A. in Spanish Language from Winthrop College and a dual M.A. in Spanish Language & Culture  and Education from Furman University.
