Robin Hutcheson has over 25 years of public and private sector experience in leadership, strategy, and on the ground implementation. Most recently, she served in the Biden-Harris Administration in two leadership positions in the United States Department of Transportation. As the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration she led a research and regulatory administration whose mission is to improve safety for commercial motor vehicles, support a strong supply chain, and implement the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.  She crafted public policy and developed new regulation to harness transportation technologies for safety, brought focus to the importance of truckers and the trucking profession, championed women, and worked transparently with numerous industry sectors and stakeholders.

As the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy she spearheaded the development of the National Roadway Safety Strategy, and orchestrated the policy adoption of zero fatalities on the nation's roadways. She developed key components of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), including the first of its kind $5B Safe Streets for All program for local government.

Prior, she was the Director of Public Works for the City of Minneapolis and the Director of Transportation for Salt Lake City.  Robin served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of City Transportation Officials, ultimately serving as Board president, and was a founding Board member of the Open Mobility Foundation. Her experience also includes a long history as a private sector consultant at the local, national and international scale. Robin is an impactful and respected executive leader who drives the rapid advancement of policies and places to improve the lives of people.
