Sebastián Tamblay is an Industrial Civil Engineer and holds a Master of Science in Engineering, specializing in Transportation and Logistics, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He has over 10 years of experience in public transportation planning, most notably his current role as Head of Planning for the Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority, leading the team responsible for the technical evaluation and definition of operational plans for the bus services of the Red Movilidad system in Santiago, Chile. The integrated Red system covers 38 municipalities in the Chilean capital, with over 400 routes, a total beneficiary population of more than 7 million people, and a fleet of 6,500 buses, with more than 4,400 of those being electric by March 2026.
