
Stefano Manelli
A transport engineer, he has over 20 years of experience in the Large Events sector. Since 2003, he has worked as an integral member of the transport team for the Turin 2006 Olympic Games. From 2006 onwards, he has been involved in mobility and transport planning for the largest UEFA events: Euro 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, as well as the Champions League finals in Milan 2016 and Kyiv 2018.He has served as a transport consultant and advisor to the International Olympic Committee during the evaluation commissions for the Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020, and Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. For several years, he has worked alongside FIFA for the 2018 strategic planning and 2026 bid evaluation World Cups. For Paris 2024, he led the transport bid working group and acted as main transport advisor for the development of the transport strategy, and the European Tour for the Ryder Cup 2018 and 2023.After successfully supporting Sport e Salute in Milan Cortina’s bid for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, he has held the position of Head of Transport for the Milan Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee since November 2020.He is fluent in Italian, English and French.
