Ms. Tara Uzra Dawood is President of the Dawood Global Foundation (DGF), one of Pakistan’s most influential philanthropic and social impact organizations. Through DGF, she leads transformative initiatives in women’s economic empowerment, education, and mobility access. Her current flagship effort—DGF’s nationwide campaign to distribute 10,000 wheelchairs across Pakistan—is reshaping mobility inclusion for marginalized communities and strengthening hospital infrastructure nationwide. This initiative positions her at the forefront of accessible mobility advocacy in the region, aligning directly with the mission and global conversations of CoMotion.

Ms. Dawood also oversees DGF programmes such as LADIESFUND®, which has trained 15,000 women entrepreneurs, and Educate a Girl, which provides vocational training in communication and STEM skills to thousands of young women.

A seasoned corporate leader, she sits on the boards of Pakistan Refinery Limited, PaySys, Flow Petroleum, and Dawood Family Takaful Limited, with prior board roles at Pakistan State Oil, LESCO, and the Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan. She has advised national policy through the Planning Commission’s Energy Sub-Committee and holds corporate governance certifications from LUMS, PICG, and Harvard Business School.
