Cathy Dos Santos is the Executive Director of Transit Alliance Miami, a non-profit freeing Miami from traffic by equipping people to influence transit decisions. Prior to her current role, she served in project consulting roles, focusing on community engagement around different issue areas such as public land development, affordable housing, Covid-19 relief, and more, before transitioning to focus primarily on public transit, a major personal passion as a transit rider. At Transit Alliance Miami, she and her team are dedicated to achieving their vision of a Miami built for people, not cars. Under her leadership, the TAM team led the implementation of Miami-Dade Better Bus Network redesign, the first community-led bus network redesign in the country, and established community engagement as the cornerstone of our transit system. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida in 2020, with a dual Bachelor’s in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East and Women & Gender Studies.
