Representative Janice Zahn, PE, CCM
Chief Engineer, Port of Seattle | Washington State House of Representatives, 41st District

Janice Zahn is the Chief Engineer at the Port of Seattle and a Washington State Representative, combining engineering expertise with public service and community leadership. At the Port, she oversees the Major Public Works program, including the design and delivery of capital projects, building information modeling, safety, and workforce development—ensuring infrastructure investments drive sustainability, innovation, and regional growth.

Elected in 2025 to the Washington State House of Representatives, Janice quickly distinguished herself, sponsoring four bills enacted into law and contributing to two additional measures. She serves on the Capital Budget, Housing, Local Government, and Transportation Committees, along with joint and national committees addressing energy, technology, and water policy.

With master’s degrees in Structural Engineering and Public Administration from the University of Washington, Janice has also served on the Bellevue City Council and numerous nonprofit boards. She is dedicated to building thriving, sustainable communities through integrity, inclusion, and innovation.
