
Katie Lemmon
Katie has more than 15 years of industry experience in transportation planning in the public and private sectors. Katie launched Lemmon Planning LLC in 2023 to bring her expertise in active transportation planning and urban greening to communities in southern California. Katie previously worked at LA Metro where she helped develop multiple groundbreaking programs for Metro, including the first-of-its-kind First/Last Mile program; interactive, community-supported urban greening toolkit to encourage the creation of multi-benefit projects; transit to parks strategic plan and implementation; and a Measure M funding program to implement locally led first/last mile and active transportation projects.
Katie has worked for small, women-owned firms on transportation, community engagement, and construction projects for clients in Seattle, San Diego, and Los Angeles. She is passionate about finding win-win solutions that ensure successful project implementation and bring the most community benefit. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies from the University of Southern California and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from UCLA.
