I'm Laura Dominguez, honored to serve as your Miami Beach Commissioner. Many of you knew my late partner, Commissioner Mark Samuelian. Mark and I were deeply involved in our community, and it has been a privilege to carry forward our shared vision since being elected in 2022.As Commissioner, I've prioritized: Strengthening public safety by supporting our police and ending the "anything goes" mentality in parts of our city. Advancing stormwater and resiliency initiatives without unfairly burdening property owners. Encouraging smart development that preserves our city’s historic charm and cultural identity.Professionally, I come from a background in strategic marketing in the tourism industry, later founding a digital marketing firm. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Miami, Miami Dade College, and the Miami Beach Leadership Academy. I currently chair the Public Safety and Neighborhoods Quality of Life Committee and serve on the board of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.I'm also active in civic life through Equality Florida, Miami Beach United, the Miami Design Preservation League, Global Ties, World Affairs Council, and past service with the Belle Isle Residents Association.
