Michael Manley
Mike has worked in the mountain resort and hospitality industry for over 30 years, and is passionate about operational excellence and guest experiences. His focus on the efficient operation of the end product and understanding of the resort operator’s perspective brings value to Leitner-Poma ropeway projects. Mike spent 14 years in Mountain Operations and capital improvement management during a dynamic rebirth at Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont. He managed the planning, design, procurement, and installation of 4 lifts, two snowmaking pumping stations, a 10,000’ long zip line system, several ski trail regrading projects, and numerous utility and service upgrades around the resort. Prior to mountain operations, Mike worked in software implementation for 5 years, managing and delivering projects across North America and around the world. These experiences provide a broad base of guest service approaches that informed Mike’s approach to Mountain Operations. During and in the year’s after attending the University of Vermont, Mike worked as a ski instructor, progressing through PSIA to level III certification. Spending 3 seasons ski teaching at Perisher Blue, Australia and traveling throughout Austral-Asia are life experiences that still influence his life and work today.
